IBOC Comp

The 1991 Mongoose IBOC Comp delivers race-winning performance and reliability at an affordable price. Carefully assembled on the Comp's double-butted Tange chromoly frame is a Mongoose large-diameter chromoly fork with radius blades and leading axle dropouts, and an oversized sealed mechanism headset. The Comp boasts every technical innovation available from Shimano's Deore LX group: STI, SIS, Superglide chainrings and sprockets, a Hyperglide freewheel, Rapidfire underbar shifters, and SLR braking. New high-performance Araya CV-7 alloy rims are standard equipment on this competition thoroughbred, as well as Mongoose toe clips and straps, an IBOC lycra/gel saddle, Mongoose all-terrain knobbies, and a chromoly IBOC handlebar and stem.
