The 1988 Mongoose Hill Topper provides an outstanding package of performance equipment and value pricing. Like the more expensive Alta, the Hill Topper is equipped with the new Shimano AX-55 derailleur system with switchable SIS indexing or friction control fingertip levers which provide precise gear selection and engagement. The 170mm alloy crank, 28/38/48 triple plateau chainrings and six speed Shimano 14-28 provide the torque and wide gear ratios necessary to tackle a variety of terrain. Quick release hub allows convenient no-tool front wheel removal. The Hill Topper is available two-tone finished in Wildfire Red and White or Sport Blue and White.
