The new 18 speed 1988 Mongoose Alta has been completely re-equipped for 1988. Featuring an all chromoly frame and chromoly fork for optimum response and reliability. The top level equipment includes the new Shimano Light Action derailleur with adjustable SIS indexing or friction shifting action. The 170mm SR alloy cranks are equipped with elliptical Ovaltech chainrings, a 14-28 Shimano freewheel and Uniglide chain comprise the wide ratio drive system. Computer designed Ovaltech chainrings increase your pedaling efficiency. The Alta's other performance equipment includes responsive cantilever brakes, Araya 7X(N) rims and quick release alloy hubs. The Alta is available two-tone finished in Ocean Blue and Gray or Euro White. Ladies model in Ocean Blue and Grey.
