The F1000 for 1995 has Cannondale’s 2.8 Series front suspension mountain frame and Cannondale Headshok DD air/oil cartridge suspension fork with on-the-fly lockout switch. GripShift SRT 800 X-Ray shifters. Our Headshok-equipped 2.8 Series mountain frame was developed for - and with considerable help from - Tinker Juarez and the other cross-country hammer dogs on the Volvo/Cannondale Mountain Bike Racing Team. The 2.8 frame uses a radically innovative tube set - including a swaged down tube, butted seat, down and top tubes, wishbone style seat stays, and lightweight chain stays - to achieve rock-solid flex resistance and a feathery weight of just 3.1 lbs.
