At the heart of the 1992 Diamond Back Axis Pro is newly designed True Temper OX large diameter, thin wall chromoly tubing. Short butting puts stiffness where it’s needed and reduces weight where it’s not. The thin wall tubing absorbs shock while reducing overall rider fatigue over longer distances. What do you get is only good acceleration and hill climbing performance, and handling characteristics that are straight and true. The new Tange Strut Fork uses an oversized 1 1/8” steerer and chromoly multiple butted blades that make it stronger and lighter than standard forks. For shock absorption and straight tracking, 600mm radius curved offset gives you the best balance of front end quickness and high speed stability. Bar ends are the hot ticket, right? That’s why we came up with the revolutionary Avenir multi-position one piece bar. Made with heat-treated 6061 T-6 aluminium it offers more hand position than bar ends, and the curved ends won’t pinch in your hands. And at only 320g, it’s far lighter than most bar/bar end combinations. The Axis Pro also gets race ready Shimano XTR components including Rapidfire Plus XTR shifters, Shimano’s new SHD front shifting, and eight-speed Hyperglide Cassette. The Access Pro - if you’re not one, you’re chasing one!
